Remember my mini-tornado experience outside Alor Star of Kedah? This is a bigger one in Perlis, which is Kedah's neighbour. Enjoy.

So, half of the University of Manchester students are on reading week break. Yes, HALF. Sorry to Civil, Mech, Electrical Eng and medic students or anyone who has something to do with bio. Anyway, I'm one of them. :) Yay me! As usual, I haven't been studying/reading and half the week has already gone by. Some of you probably knew what I was doing for that half week. It's all about the Crime Scene Investigation. New York STYLE. Awesome, ain't it? Loved it to a point that I was inspired to be take up any course related to forensic science. Enough of that crap. Here's a lovely picture of CSI:NY, Season 1. :) Yes I'm starting season 1 and I have 2 more episodes till the end of the season.
Rough/Brief schedule for TODAY. Woke up at 12pm. Lunch at 1pm. Shower at 2pm. CSI time till Li Shan came over my place. And we left together for LINKIN PARK concert... :) OUR very first concert in Manchester. What a coincidence, cause the first concert in my life was also Linkin Park's and its been 7 years. Way too long. Anyway, we paid quite a bit for seating tickets. But its probably worth it because we didn't have to worry bout tall dudes/dudettes blocking our (mainly mine) view and we didn't have to strain our necks to face the stage. I would love to DRAW a picture of my view from where I was seating but.. I don't have my Wacom Graphire. :(
OVERALL: The concert was great. Li Shan's company was great. Those 2 made my night. :)
Ahh yes. 1 more thing. So everytime, without fail, after a concert, I would go back home and listen to the band's/artist's songs again. Won't you agree with me? Guess what? I'm going to be in my LP craze hopefully for 1 week?
LP still rocks, though I wasn't that keen on the slow songs being in their concerts. Just doesn't seem so LP-ish.
Later, dudes.
BigDummy.
P.s. Oh yeah for those who didn't read my facebook status or tweet, someone in the hall freakin' set off the fire alarm when it was bloody raining outside. He/She deserves a "you big dummy" from me. Not serious enough to be sworn at by me. :) I'm being too nice. I know that too.
Going home is so close, yet so far.
2 more weeks and its Good Bye, Foreign Land and Hello, Home!
BigDummy.
P.s I made steamed egg with minced meat for dinner! Using the rice cooker. Bowl on the still-cooking rice, literally(cause I don't have the steam basket). And it turned out a success! So proud of myself. (:
Hey peeps. Heard the fire alarm from another building. Just realised they're only testing it. DAMN.
Anyway, got back from a not-so-productive 2-hour study session in the library today.
Lets see what are the papers left:
Chemical Reaction Engineering
Chemical Engineering Design
Thermodynamics
Transport Phenomena
4 more. DIE. So, today is Day 2 after my math paper. Day 1 was NOT a productive day at all. Wasted the entire day not studying and I have no idea where did all my time go. Woke up at 12pm, cook and eat till 3pm, what's next...? Thus, I am trying to compensate for yesterday's extra-laziness now. :( Not cool.
Speaking of cool, the temperature today has gone down compared to last week. My first(and probably the last) time wearing shorts in Manchester cause it was THAT warm last week. And I thought to myself, "Oh boy, if it's THAT warm this week, then the next week is gonna be much colder. Crap."
I want the sun NOW! Okay maybe not now, since I'm gonna stay in my room the whole day anyway. I want the sun TOMORROW!
Oh dear, I better get back to studying now. Later.
BigDummy.
So much for a new year resolution to keep updating my blog. Oh well. Resolutions are made to be broken anyway.
Exam is here! First paper on Monday and I'm totally not prepared. Well I never will be anyway. ):
Stress is here too! Zits are popping out like nobody's business. Hate it! Hate 'em ALL! ):
Only thing I'm looking forward to.. the day I'm gonna fly back home. (:
Can't wait to sleep in my own room.

Sneak peak of my study place.
That's uhm.. before the last A-Level exam. Excuse the untidiness. That is so not me. ;)
Anyway, Imma head to my friend's place(Weston accommodation) now. Not to slack but to STUDY!
Later.
BigDummy.
P.s I still haven't found a perfect place to study yet. ): Maybe I will next year.
List of places to study:
- Starbucks
Library- 旺旺cafe (chinatown)
Piccadilly Train Station- Weston
My room
Anymore to add on the list?
I played with lego building blocks till my nose bled yesterday. HAHahah. :)
Now I know that building something from lego can be so addictive to me! Just few weeks ago, me and my friend spent bout 3-4 hours just to build the ground level of the same building which is about 22cm x 13.5cm x 25cm.
Lego OD? Or maybe its the weather/season change in UK?
BigDummy.
::Edit::
I stole a picture from Caroline's blog!! >:) Hehehehhe!
Thanks for the pic, CaroliNA! :D
Rain is falling.
8.10am on my watch.
I jumped out of bed.
I was gonna be late for a 9am class.
Got dress, freshen up and had a bowl of cereal.
Rushed down 4 flights of stairs.
Called Careena(coursemate) to ask where she was.
"I'm in my room"
And it hit me.......
@*&#%$#*@#!*@&
>:(
My class on Friday only starts at 10am.
I was a big dummy since I woke up today.
And I even told my flatmate that I woke up late cause she woke up late too. But she actually has class at 9am while I THOUGHT I have class at 9am.
This is the second time I felt like a big dummy, rushing downstairs and wait for my friend while the receptionist and cleaners were getting ready for the day. I hate Friday mornings.
BigDummy.
Woke up today to find that outside my window was really really foggy. It was at bout 8.30am? Felt really weird cause all I can see was just the other half of my hall across the courtyard. Luckily, I have some pictures to show!
Behold! My evidence! (outside my window)
see what I mean? when it was supposed to be...
And when the sun is setting.. or when the sun is already down...
The BB curve camera not bad eh? :) But that doesn't stop me for wanting to get a new camera!!
Anyway, yesterday was the Frank Morton Sports Day, where all the chemical engineers around the country gathers to compete in sports. As usual, I don't participate in such events. So, me and my friends decided to have our own, quote WaiLum, "mini Frank Morton", in the Sudgen Sports Centre, right opposite to where I'm living now. Just riiiiiiight across the road. :)
Some of us played basketball and the rest played badminton.
Basketball : FAIL.
Badminton: Masih boleh tahan.
So, I played badminton! Didn't realised how much I miss playing badminton. It totally made my day. :) Since I haven't done any sports since I got here (5 months ago), my body is still aching like mad since last night. Quote someone, "Aaaaaaaiyoh Old alreaaaaaady."
BigDummy.
Weather report: Fog in the morning, Sun for the REST of the day! WOOHOO.
My PBL(problem-based learning) groupmate once told me that "The sun always comes out before it snows" I have a bad feeling it is going to snow tomorrow. The MSN weather forecast says there's gonna be snow tomorrow evening. Hope they're wrong wrong wrong!
P.s WaiLum is my coursemate.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! :)
Its my first time celebrating CNY away from home. A little homesick but fortunately my cousins and friends were here with me. (: We had steamboat this year (apparently they have steamboat almost every chinese new year in the UK). So, doesn't make this time any different from the others. Fun part was me and Ying Ling get to go walk around and buy some stuff for the mini reunion dinner that night, i.e YeeSang/YuSheng/鱼生/余升. Both of us were carrying that around and people were staring at us, thinking "whoa! why are they carrying that huge-ass thing?" or "whoa! what are they carrying?". Cause you know.. that thing comes in a big plate. So yeah.
now that's HUGE.
OKAY. Steamboat then hang around and chat then it was 12am then me and NicSoo syok sendiri shouted "Happy New Year!" then us 3 cousins went on skype with family back in Alor Star, Malaysia. Everyone was either in red or pink. And us 3 in grey. (I wore red the next day, fyi)
We didn't really take much pictures. I think I need a camera now. Seriously. :(
Anyway, yeah but most of all CNY wouldn't feel like CNY without my all-time FAV...
Yeah. Courtesy of Ying Ling who brought it aaaaaaaall the way from Malaysia.
Went back to Manchester on Sunday.
Ying Ling and Nic Soo sent me off (starting to feel homesick).
On the train back to Manchester with 2 duck rice in my bag (thank goodness they didn't smell).
Rush to do my lab report at 11pm.
Slept at 5am, Woke up at 7am.
BLOODY 2 hours of sleep!
Result: Crashed at 10.30pm that night.
Oh dear its 10.30pm now. Time for bed! (trying to sleep early and wake up early :) )
早睡早起，身体好！
Later.
BigDummy.
Weather report: SLEET at 6am [HORRIBLE!]
Good thing it didn't last all day.
P.s I've changed my blog layout because SOMEONE was annoyed by the cute Grumpy Toast. -_-
P.P.s What did the toast ever do to you?! :(
P.P.P.s try using google language toolbar to translate "早睡早起，身体好".
Hey peeps.
Its a Saturday night and I'm in my room. Well, I've been in my room since I got back from city centre last night. Woke up at 1pm this afternoon even though my alarm was set at 11am. I did wake up at 9am for no apparent reason.. Then I went back to sleep... as usual. :)
Guess who came to Manchester last week?
Its... LING LING(no typo)! :)
We were trying out this Thai restaurant in china town. Not too bad. First time eating steamed fish since I came here. *drools*
I started watching CSI again. Something totally random happened.
Gil Grissom: you're nose is bleeding *looks at the dude*
Dude: *wiping the blood off*
And then there's blood from my nose. (No worries.. its just a slight bleed.) Oh the irony....
Anyway, ever since semester 2 started, I've been really really lazy. My fridge was quite empty and I've been living off pop-into-oven-for-0.5hour meal with some greens and my new fav after-meal snack - Muller yogurt! Yup, that's my dinner. So, I decided not to be lazy today by cooking rice and a dish. :P Hehe. Its just baked beans with egg mushroom and stuff. Very simple.
Okay. Time for more CSI... :D
Fine.. and then some revision too. -_-
Later.
BigDummy.
Weather report: clear sky, sunny. :)
Wasted cause I stayed in the whole day. Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow!
Likey my grumpy toast? I thought it was cute. :P But I won't be using this for long. Will be finding a new layout soon.
Anyway, my week has started off well. So did the weather. Until today. It snowed for awhile in the afternoon. And I almost slipped while walking to class this morning. :(
Okay, right. I will try to take some pictures and you know.. spice up my posts a little. Its getting a wee bit too wordy.
Dinner's calling! Later peeps.
BigDummy.
Gosh. I need sleep.
Damn you, Chemistry!!
BigDummy.
I totally feel old right now. And I need a new blogskin.
BigDummy.
Yes. Ying has finally published a new post on her blog (screw the cheesy title) and I'm quite amazed that I have left my blog hanging for bout.... 4 months. Oh dear!...
Okay fine! One of my new year resolutions (although I don't really believe in them) will be to keep my blog up to date (except when I'm having exams, okay? ;) )!
I was reading my very first online journal just now and was totally embaressed by it. TOTALLY!
You shall not go look for it!
But it was loads of fun reminding me bout the silly stuff I did and then blogging about it.
Anyway, I gotta go do some hard core studying NOW. And I mean it! I hope.
Fluid Flow, Reynolds number, yada yada yada... here I come!!!
Sorry bout the (13 days) delay. Happy New Year, peeps.
BigDummy.
OH MAAN! 2 more nights.....
I DON'T WANNA LEAVE YET!!!! BOOOHOOOO!!!!
BigDummy.
Again, I am still in the college library now.. Studying physics.. Seated at my table are Li Ling, Jason and Joshua. :P
Oh look! Its Jason from yesterday's study session in the library! So hardworking! :o
Or not...
-_-
